Default Enbeded Convection?

Radar seemed unbeleievable earlier with a small area of very heavy
rain moving east with the warm front. Proved to be real with a short
spell of heavy rain during the afternoon in Rotherham. Seemed strange
when very little was showing up from elsewhere along the front. Could
this have been enbeded convection?
