RMK: Continuous snow ceased late a.m. Since then there's been
occasional slight flurries. The cloud base lowered to ground level for
a time early p.m. to give a spell of fog. It's a very grey day with an
icy wind. Snow depth 12cm. All side roads are covered with hard-packed
snow and ice. The main road through the village is gritted and wet. Max
so far is -0.6C.
