Pea sized hail fell at 0830z during a period of heavy rain and gusty
winds as the trough behind the cold front passed through. Noticeable
shift in wind direction from a SSW direction to a W direction. Very
little upper cloud with only Cu fra passing speedily overhead now.

Interesting to see the rapidly cooling cloud tops associated with the
low pressure system to the W of Ireland as it slips into the left exit
of the powerful jet.

MSG VIS imagery will be useful to watch today as the low deepens and
passes by NW Ireland.
