Woke this morning to grey skies, light to moderate wind and
thawing snow. No sign of the blizzards forecast for last night. Fifteen minutes ago the Met Office still had a severe weather warning for the whole of Scotland and much of northern England. Now it is only for eastern Scotland and northern England, and the weather it predicts has been revised from heavy snow and strong winds to outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow. Wish I had a reliable crystal ball. Then I'd have arranged to be in Aberdeen today, and gone out for a good walk in yesterday's sunshine. Anne To reply replace the rock with my surname |
