It just struck me yesterday how this year we'd seemed to have escaped the
sort of strong winds that usually clobber us in the weeks around the spring equinnox. Then we had the late arrival of spring. Now we've finally got our April showers as we head towards the end of May coupled with some pretty breezy conditions. Seems like the seasons have fallen out of synch this year... I wonder when we'll experience 'flaming June'... August perhaps? |

Predictably, the last 2 weeks of June and the first 2 weeks of July when I am out of the country in America. Last time I did that we had record-breaking temperatures (2003). -- Jonathan Stott Canterbury Weather: http://www.canterburyweather.co.uk/ Reverse my e-mail address to reply by e-mail |

The title of this almost struck me as something that was said on Sky News
weather by Francis last night "An April day that has got lost in May" Liam "Jonathan Stott" wrote in message ... David Allan wrote: Seems like the seasons have fallen out of synch this year... It does tend to confirm the widely held view that all of the seasons seem to
have shifted forwards about 4 weeks. It's also interesting that if Sunday's forecast proves correct it will be the second out of three of my cricket matches rained off with the other being played at 13C - and me in the middle of one of my driest all time spells!
