If you consider Usenet such a "snakepit", why do you stay? David Christainsen - Meteorologist Not a meteorologist, but another delusional, "denialist liar" residing in Usenet. |

... http://icecap.us/images/uploads/FORE...OLAR_CYCLE.pdf The most recent citations in this article are almost five years old and many of the links to future predictions do not work, just like future predictions do not work. Predicting the future is a fools game. To do so neglects a legal concept known in English jurisprudence as an "Act of God" or in French "Force Majeure". Murphy's Law is immutable, "Whatever can go wrong will go wrong" or in street vernacular "**** happens". If one wished to appeal to physics one would assert that The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle acts on all scales. If one wished to appeal to Statute Law one could assert that predicting the future is equivalent to the crime of "fortune telling". If one wish to appeal to theology one could assert that only God knows what the future. If one wished to appeal to popular culture one could recite verse: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whateve...Que_Sera,_Sera) Doris Day - Que Sera Sera Song Lyrics When I was just a little girl I asked my mother, what will I be Will I be pretty, will I be rich Here's what she said to me. Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be The future's not ours, to see Que Sera, Sera What will be, will be. When I was young, I fell in love I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead Will we have rainbows, day after day Here's what my sweetheart said. Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be The future's not ours, to see Que Sera, Sera What will be, will be. Now I have children of my own They ask their mother, what will I be Will I be handsome, will I be rich I tell them tenderly. Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be The future's not ours, to see Que Sera, Sera What will be, will be. Also see: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=R6WDdZ6xaPg Wisdom is a gift of old age. |

David Christainsen - Meteorologist I'm half way through the article now. But I correspond with the world's most preeminent solar astronomer who said last year, "We are now in the deepest solar minimum in centuries". Since then solar activity has decreased. We may be in the deepest solar minimum in millennia. I cannot see what Joe D'Aleo's dated paper could add to that. Yawn. |
