![]() Barnaby Joyce, speaking of the anthropogenic climate change hypothesis on ABC radio yesterday: "I become sceptical when religious fervour builds up around an issue" Barnaby describes himself as a "born again" Christian. He's not sceptical when hew should be and "sceptical" when there's no good basis for it. Of course, his broader claim that an ETS will be a disaster would itself require some modelling, but he advances none and argues from a broad generalisation. Again, he's not sceptical and dopesn't even bother putting a detailed argument. Barnaby illustrates the maxim that the best jokes are told by those who don't realise they are telling them, or at least, can seem that way. Fran |
