Anywhere west of Penzance (OK, there isn't much west of Penzance) is hard to get to, the Lands End peninsula got the heaviest of yesterdays snow. SCilly is used to getting cut off in winter, but not due to a snowbound Lands End airport. Cape Cornwall in the far west (near St Just)
https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com...0&h=408&crop=1 At least the press got as far as the Lizard, and watched someone doing donuts in the snow on a quad bike, which looked fun.
Basically no buses from Penzance, no trains to St Ives either. In theory the main line is open.
The snow has compacted a fair bit overnight, and blown around rather. Still a general depth of 10cm in my garden.
This afternoon looks interesting, though it'll probably turn to rain here eventually.
