Since the first falls of snow in September, Whistler, a ski resort in the
Canadian Rockies two hours by car from Vancouver, at a modest village height
of 630m asl, has seen 545cm of snow this season so far.
Admittedly these snow amounts are measured at mid-station, 1650m asl, with
174cm falling there in the last 7 days.
