{WR} Kenilworth - Coventry and flooding reported.
Brief but intense medium-level storm about 0700 at Kenilworth. Now heavy rain
at Coventry 0840. Cluster of Cb towers over W Midlands shown well on this image: http://130.92.54.203/rsbern/noaa/dw/...nt/n1bcurr.jpg Thunder just heard 0843. Reports from colleagues of real problems in Birmingham area - flooding etc. The lights are flickering - usually a good sign of severe weather of some sort. It's looking to be the main news item again tonight, especially if the SE is affected. Martin |

Both Bablake and King Henry VIII schools in Coventry have been hit by lightning - all PC networks closed down for safety reasons - fire engines out in the city - alarms going off everywhere this morning.
