Default BBC Five Day Forecast

The current BBC five day forecast for Leeds has Thurs at 17C, Friday at
27C, Sat at 17C. But the met office five day forcast for leeds has
Friday at 22C, which to me sounds a lot more reasonable.

Is such a one day heatwave possible?

Are we really looking at 27C for Friday?

Why the difference between the BBC and met office?

Should we even bother with BBC forecasts, the data is supplied by the
met office, so why not just go there for five day forecasts?

Should the BBC weather department be disbanded?

Why all the bloody questions?

Could somebody have misread a handwritten (perhaps faxed) "2" as a "7"?

Maybe, but I have long held the theory that BBC five day forecasts are
computer generated over night. Then somebody reviews them the next day
and adjusts as necessary. They always seem to change between 9:30am and
10:30am.
