Brussels on Sunday

Early hints of mist were gone very early and the sun shone all day - at
least I imagine so even though I wasn't there to see it. Hot yet again in
the afternoon.

Brussels Uccle 33.5°C - overnight minimum 17.9°C.
Brussels Airport: no maximum reported - overnight minimum 16.4°C.

I was on the coast at Ostend - expecting it to be a bit cooler. No such
luck. Blazing sunshine although the horizon over the sea was lost in the
haze. Slight breeze at the end of the afternoon tempered the heat just a
bit - Ostend Airport 30.2°C and Ostend Pier 29.3°C. Now sitting at home
a bit sunburnt.

Indeed, Colin rather hot at south-western coastal area's in Holland also --
as you expect most of the heat in central and eastern regions. Not as
such -- our temp peaked yesterday at 27. 9 C; while Vlissingen gave a 33 C;
Hoek van Holland 28 C. Northern coastal regions were cooler: Wijk aan Zee
(near IJmuiden) 24 C ; Den Helder 23 C.

Rather warm today also -- T c 27.1 C -- rh 72%
