I have just had a problem, which seemed to be an intermittently sticking
reed switch, with the anemometer of my Oregon weather station.

I posted it back to Weather Front on Monday. Today (just 3 days later) I
received a replacement unit "as a good will gesture". Such a swift and
positive gesture buys a lot of good will in my book. Well done Weather
Front.

Contrasts nicely with their inability to provide any information on the
accuracy (or lack thereof) of the equipment they sell (which many other
vendors seem happy to provide).
I for one do not plan to use their services again.

The manufacturers web site consists of

TITLE *the name of the company* /TITLE

so it wasn't really an option, and not all companies have web sites.

As a consumer, one's point of contact should always be the vendor first
anyway.

Is that a problem with an Oregon reed switch or other make?

Have you changed it (and the new one still sticks) or is it the same one
that keeps sticking?

I am trying to assess the potential reliability of my new anemometer.
