2359Z After a clear and frosty evening with the lightest of Northerly
winds, the temperature has dropped to -3.5 deg C at midnight. Although I do not keep continuous records, I can say that tonight is already the lowest I've seen it here, in my suburban back garden, for several years. The day maximum on Sunday 27th February was also low, at +3.5 deg C. Brrrr!!! from the snow-free zone of Fareham. -- Dave |

As mentioned, it's been a few years since I saw those kind of temperatures down here. Other places locally: 7 miles to my NW/N, Southampton Airport minimum around -7 deg C (from METARS; 5 miles to my SW/S, Solent MRSC minimum -4.7 (0600 SYNOP, could have gone lower after 6 am). Brrrr!!! again, from the snow-free zone of Fareham. -- Dave |
