There will be a widespread air frost this evening from roughly Midlands
northwards, given the wind dies down, which it should.

By 'first frost' I meant 'first frost here' ... sorry if unclear.

We have had fairly heavy sleet and snow showers here in Aberfeldy from 14:00
and the hills are getting blasted. You can see the snow coming along in
curtains in the very gusty wind.

To celebrate I have 2 pictures of the "event". The showers shrouded the
sunny valley in a yellow half light as they swept in - great stuff.

Is that June 26 date correct or a typo? That seems remarkably late for
sleet in what is presumably a low-level location, even that far north.

I read Joe's message to mean that you won't need to wait until next week
for your first air frost - you'll get it tonight.

It is correct ... sleet showers that evening ... I was out walking the dog
when it began.

So did I (;
It is 4 degrees at the moment, and has clouded over again. Forecasts vary
between 2 and 3 degrees for here. Met Office forecasts of frost suggest
only away from the coast so, I am gambling on no frost here tonight. I will
grovel in the morning if I am wrong (:

Quite a bit colder here, it's been down to -1.4C. First gritter of the
season came through the village just after the temp dropped below zero.

I will grovel in the morning if I am wrong (:

Oh, please don't.

The numbers a
Max = 7 C
Min = 3 C
Precip = 9mm (Sleet / Hail / Rain)

This was the lowest max and the wettest day for November so far.
