Or, hottest day of the millennium if you prefer.
Previous best was 28.9°C on July 14th. Currently 29.0°C here - warmest since 21st August, 1995 (30.1°C) Humidity is slightly more comfortable today, at 50%, than it has been previously this week (~65% at 1pm). Layer of alto/cirro stratus thickening. And warm southerly F4. Previous days this week had an easterly component which I think held back the temperatures at this site. Temperature looks to have peaked here. Maximum was 29.3°C

Just recorded 100.3 F in my Stephensons screen , although its a none
standard situation. ie . too close to buildings. but not by more than a few yards. P Leslie |
