For those that like a 'fix' of CF, it is back on BBC1 after the
Olympics, and at 1130 BUT note that according to the 'Radio Times', it is an *hour* in length - so the weather may well come nearer 1220-ish. Martin. -- FAQ & Glossary for uk.sci.weather at:- http://homepage.ntlworld.com/booty.weather/uswfaqfr.htm |

They bang the drum for global warmers something rotten on that prohgram but spent precious little time with real country files/issues such as the tragic weather we are having at the moment. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

It's not that bad, we'll still get our very modest acreage in, besides,
would farmers pay back aid given now when times are good? I doubt it - a lot! What's more CF was set up to replace a farming prog.... What gets me is the weekly hide and seek the BBC play with the farming forecast. Why? Does someone in the scheduling dept get some kind of gratification from doing it :O Peter "Michael Mcneil" wrote in message news:50e912bbf595d85196fbb5aff1a641db.45219@mygate .mailgate.org... What is more puzzling is that a week ahead forecast is what people actually
want. It should be on as a separate 5 minute program on Sunday night at 7 pm on beeb 1. Who would not like to know what the weather has in store for the week ahead - its not just farmers surely? brian aberfeldy "Peter Hearnden" wrote in message ... It's up to the Countryfile production team who supply two parts of a programme to transmission who insert the weather forecast live in between the parts supplied. |

Trouble is with a week ahead the great unwashed wouldn't understand that any forecast more than 3 or 4 days into the future is not much more than a "best guess". And they certianly wouldn't find much if any of the "techincal" stuff interesting, all they want to know is will it rain in town on the coming saturday afternoon (6 days hence). -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |

So who is responsible for the bolloxed-up weatherview schedule or total complete and utter lack thereof? Some pansy with a waxy skin and a big showfur drivvel car. (I hate the buggers there too! Have you seen what they will do with your material if you post any of it on their site? Totally unethical.) -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |
