Default Spanish ploom next week possible

Looks like the Spanish low is heading our way the middle of next week,
we seemed to have moved away from those 'not going anywhere' charts of
a couple of days ago.

Yes, it looks very wet in the east of England on Thursday, and cool as
well, but the whole system is far too far east to be called a Spanish plume.
Spain looks very cool as well by that time - perhaps they call it a British
plume, or plunge, or something.

I was just driving back from my Mum's, when it dawned on me 'plume'
not 'ploom' :-) I'm surprised no one had me for that one! Tudor got
it right.

Oh great - what about us in the west who've missed out in this so-called
'unsettled' spell? Each of these 'showery' days has passed by with less
than 1mm of rain.

However, I can't be too negative - I've loved this long spell of cool
mid-summer weather. No problems sleeping at night, no sweating like a
pig during the day, etc.

Not to mention, every day that goes by is one day closer to autumn where
excessively hot weather cannot happen...

, and cool as
well, but the whole system is far too far east to be called a Spanish plume.

Too cool as well, surely?

Well, we've all had a bit of fun at poor Keith's "ploom" but no-one seems
to have anything to say about the weather we may have next Thursday. The
120-hr Exeter latest (for 12Z Thursday) looks distinctly nasty, breezy, cold
and wet. The warm air seems too far east to make things really interesting.
We'll see.
