Actually tomorrow TORRO are looking at possibilities of convergence based
funnels (Notts/Lins border area) and possible Ts activity. I agrees that GFS
does tend to overplay the instability factors though.

Would like to know who forecasted that above information on TORRO Mark.
There is little chance of significant showers let alone funnels. Overall
apart from maybe an isolated feature tomorrow in Eastern parts I don't see
anything significant appearing on Sunday

How do you take from that that Matt Hugo got it wrong ?

He states that there could be "isolated features in Eastern parts" which is
exactly what we're getting at the moment - the odd isolated Cb/thunderstorm
in the East.

What were your predictions then ? Any better ?

Mark.

Whats the point of the topic anyway - most people reading UK Sci haven't
read his forecasts anyway.

I find his input useful as a fellow storm chaser - and NO I'm not Matt - you
should know I've posted quite a few times on here last year when tracking
some of the summer storms we had - Kent/Essex.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king

Thought it was quite accurate actually, even down to the locations.
