Had a light snow shower at some point between 20:30 and 22:30 GMT. Just
enough to make the road and pavements white; looks very scenic under
the street lights. Cleared up quite a bit now and the moon and many
stars are visible under broken cloud.

Bewdley, Worcs, ~90m asl.

*sigh* We now have moderate sleet - for some reason it's got less and
less snowy as the intensity has increased - and already it's melting
some of the lying snow closer to houses, cars etc. This wasn't what I
was hoping for. Oh well. :-/

....and now it's plain old rain. Could be one of the shortest-lived
snowy times on record here!

And finally for tonight... the covering of snow has now almost
completely melted, and it's been raining non-stop (without even a
hint of sleetiness now) for three-quarters of an hour. The wind's got
up a lot too, so what we now have is a nasty cold wet windy night
that has nothing to redeem it. Hey ho. :-(

At least you saw something. In Malvern there was not even a chance of that.
Having said that, the ground is frozen hard this morning with 'black' frost.
If it had been wet on the roads/pavements beforehand, it would now be quite
nasty.

Clouding over nicely now after clear sunrise ahead of the next disturbance -
probably our last chance to see anything with this cold spell before the
mild weather returns.

Well, we have indeed had a flurry at around 9:00GMT. Mostly melting
now the sun's out, but nice nevertheless.
