Default [WR] Plymton lawn mower day

First Lawn mower day of year for me, comfortable working with jeans and
teeshirt, almost calm and sunny sky.

Hi Stan !

Welcome to the SW where the grass REALLY grows.
Last year I had to cut mine every 2 weeks non-stop from beginning April to the
end of October (and that was a dry year !). Each cut gave several wheelbarrow
loads of cuttings.

Actually I tell a lie, my gardener did the bulk of the cutting, I just trimmed
the borders !

At least it stays green :-)

Will.

Very nice spring like day today Will,
Your comments worry me a little regarding the lawn as we have twice as much
here than we did in Bracknell

.... actually, if you had both still been living here in forgotten
Berkshire, you could have cut the lawn here as well! The grass hasn't
really stopped growing with temperatures well above average and plenty
of moisture. I would like a decent *prolonged* cold spell to bring
everything to a halt, but on the other hand, we are still behind in
rainfall (~78% for the month).

Although another nice sunny day today, first frost of winter lasting to
afternoon in shade. Had to put a pullover when going out in garden.

And there was me stripping off at lunchtime revelling in the *light* winds for a
change.

Hundreds of people out on the moor this afternoon enjoying the splendid
visibility, sunshine and excellent walking weather !

Hi, Stan,

You, Will and Martin have really cheered me up! The other man's grass is
not always greener!
