[WR] Norway: Now suddenly snowing!
Hello snow-chasers! Have been in a very similar situation in the northwest of southern Norway (just north of 62 deg. N, near the coast) to you in England. Have been without snow in the last days. The last snow, ~25 cm left with the very heavy rainfall - serious flooding in places - which lasted for 2 1/2 days from Tuesday to Friday. I'm have been more or less desperately NOT wanting snow for Christmas. It's really a very long time since that situation, at my location! So therefore this year I want a snow-free Christmas for a change, no 1 meter snow-clearing, please! Looked at: http://129.13.102.67/wz/pics/D2u.html about half an hour ago and thought that with that situation - I'm just north of the angle ('cape' Stad) on the west coast of southern Norway - snow must be imminent, but there was none... 15 minutes later I looked out. White roads, pavements, surprise! I went out, a very thin cover, not quite white on the grass. Can we get 10 cm+ by tomorrow, maybe!? -2.5 C here now, continuos snow showers. Will be milder by the 24th, so possibly no snow then, anyway.
