Temperature fell to 2.5C here then rose to 3.0C as the cloud increased.
The precipitation should be with us any minute. East Midlands has a
sub zero dew point so here's hoping.

Yep - the temp rose here after I posted as well. I did take a glance outside in the early hours and all I saw was rain.

The temperature fell to 2.7C and all we got was rain, moderate at times. The very
strong gusty wind obviously didn't allow the wet bulb freezing level to fall enough,
to bring snow to the surface.
