I can see the cumulonimbus that form over it...

Where is the furthest ground-level location from which the Garden Isle can
be seen?
I believe it is most likely Win Green (910 ft asl) on the road between
Cranborne and Shaftesbury.
Apart from this sort of location, it can be seen from the A31 between Cadnam
and Ringwood, where it crosses the ridge between the Higherland and Bratley
Waters, both tributaries of the Lymington River and along which valley the
view is obtained. More distant views may be obtainable from the South
Downs.
