Prolonged, almost unbroken sunshine today. Unbroken in the morning, almost unbroken in the afternoon The extensive cloud development inland drifted slowly westwards, but dissipating over Marazion as soon as it descended from the Lizard, and barely a shred of cloud left by the time it reached Penzance.
The sunshine, combined with the very light alongshore wind, lifted the temperature to 13.0C, the highest since 13.4C on the 2nd.
It felt warm in the sun, coffee outside the Jubilee Pool around 11:00 and there were several in the unheated main pool, and swimming off the rocks outside. I should have had my wetsuit, it's all packed in the car now.
Even over the nearby moors at Bosullow, where there was some limited cloud development, 10 hours of sunshine today.
https://www.greatbosullow.net/Graphtext5.png In fact 105 hours of sun there so far this month, with the coast being a good deal sunnier. Much less sunshine inland from Camborne up the spine of the County most days lately. Camborne is very prone to being under, or just north (and of course the sun's to the south) cloud in conditions like this.
Only 1 day has failed to reach 10C this month (9.8C on 6th) . 10.3mm of rain in the last 30 days.
