A mainly sunny day, reached 10.3C here in Penzance, I was a bit surprised to see even Culdrose managed 10C. Chilly breeze, but in the strong sunshine it felt quite OK.
3.1mm in overnight showers mean that there has now been 3.3mm of rain this month. Though with todays low humidity, sunshine & breeze, it's as dusty as ever. I popped up on the moors to see the after effects of this fairly devastating gorse fire
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-56656258 a couple of days back. Gorse fires are an essential land management tool, this was something else. It's tinder dry on the moors still. The primroses are starting to look very limp.
Despite the deep cold air, basically no Cu development today. Early thin Sc soon cleared then sunshine all the way, made rather weak at times from 16:00 by high cloud, visible to the west in the photo of Penzance from above Marazion posted here.
