In contrast, while still below average, Rostherne (nr Altrincham, SW Manchester) has
had 40.5 hours sunshine recorded so far (9.8 hours on 1 March alone - it was a sunny
start to the month here). On the other hand, It has been relatively sunny in east and
north-east Scotland, with 75.7 hours at Leuchars and 72.1 hours at Kinloss so far.

I notice that according to the data Rostherne has recorded no sunshine whatsoever since
16 March - so there must be something wrong with the sunshine recorder? because here
in nearby Didsbury only yesterday (Sunday) was totally sunless and most days had between
about 0.5 and 2 hours sunshine. This means that the figure of 40.5 hours sun up to the end
of yesterday which I mentioned is probably 5-8 hours too low.
