1600Z: 05006KT 40KM Virga 1CU022 (1SC035) (2AC100) 7.1/1.8 QFF 1004.8
falling SYNOP: 41582 20506 10071 20018 40048 57014 71400 81870 333 81822= Beaufort letters (1500-1600Z): bjp A glorious day with unbroken sunshine up to this point. There were fog patches in the NE quadrant 0815-0910Z with vis 500 metres at 0900Z but did not affect the sunshine. A bank of quite thick Sc and Ac with virga trails have been lurking to the east since mid- morning. Very spring-like, feeling more like 18C than 8C on my midday walk around St. Catherine's Point. After the early fog, the visibility has been very good to excellent (60km to the west and over water due south, and 40km to the east and inland). Light N-NE breeze, F2. RH 69%. Max temp so far today 8.3 Nigel (Niton, Isle of Wight) 101m amsl |
