Default More snow

Fine very frosty start before cloud increased from the north west
bringing light snow flurries from around 09.15.
Since 09.40 its now turned to moderate snowfall turning heavy at times.
There was 1cm at 70% cover at 09.00 but full cover again now on all
surfaces.
Not forecast as we supposed to be getting a few wintry showers later
from the north east!

Low of -3.0c

Curent temp -0.7c

We have had around 8cm of snow not far from Northallerton in two bursts
one just after 9am and again just now. Temperature +0.8C at present so
snow is sticky and wet forming clumps on trees and cables. It was below
zero earlier on but only fractionally so.

Accumulated snow is melting slowly from underneath and on top when it
isn't actually snowing. Coming down in big fat flakes when it does with
high covering power. Roads are snowy but passable with care. No wind.
