0600z: 22001KT 15km 1ST010 7SC020 6.0/5.7 QFF 1005.9 falling.
SYNOP: 12465 72201 10060 20057 40059 56013 60002 875// 333 20027 81710 87620= A generally cloudy but dry night, although there were long clear periods 2100z to midnight. Excellent visibility initially, falling to good later. Surface wind SW-WSW F3-4 becoming F1 after 1700z, and light and variable overnight. [OBS] Alcaston, Shropshire - Fri 23 Oct 2020
0900z: 19001KT 15km 1ST002 3SC030 7AC080 (8AS100) 7.8/7.6 QFF 1005.4 falling.
SYNOP: 41165 81901 10078 20076 40054 57005 70152 8357/ 333 81702 83630 87358= Slight drizzle started 0620z, accompanied by a lot of very low stratus and poor visibility. Drizzle ceased around 0740z, with low cloud slowly breaking thereafter, but is still covering the south Shropshire hills to very low levels. Stratocumulus patches above, with extensive medium cloud layers. Visibility now back up to good. 1200z: 22009KT 30km Recent rain 1ST012 (2SC020) 5AC070 7AS090 11.2/9.6 QFF 1005.0 rising.
SYNOP: 11480 72209 10112 20096 40050 55004 69921 72165 8257/ 333 81712 85357 87459= Slight rain 0940z to 1005z and 1140z to 1155z. Some reasonable sunny intervals between 1100z and 1130z. Generally cloudy, with stubborn upslope stratus that didn't lift off Caer Caradoc until 1040z, and plenty of medium cloud above (although with decent breaks 1100z to 1130z). Good or very good visibility decreased to moderate for a time in precipitation.
