AUGUST 2020

The really interesting weather was all in the 2nd half of the month, the main points of note:-
18th/19th - Heavy overnight rain.
20th - Brief late evening thunderstorm & torrential rain.

27th - 50.4mm rain 07:00-12:00. Torrential 10:30-11:30. Radar analysis suggested even higher totals in a very narrow band just to the south. Mousehole was closed to all but emergency vehicles for a time. Trains into Penzance were suspended due to flooding on the line.
