Yes, today was rather more interesting. But it was very windy (for here)
yesterday with gusts frequently above 50 mph and a maximum gust of 59 mph. Not much rain, nor any squalls as a seen Up Country. Cooler today after yesterday's maximum of 13.6C but with much more sunshine (4 hours) and a scattering of brief but heavy showers with thunder and a some hail. A maximum of 10.7C during the calmer interludes between the blustery showers. Yesterday recorded a wind run of 500 miles, beats my previous record of 406 miles. The first 10 days of this February have been wetter, duller and very much warmer than normal. Mean temperature running at 8.9C. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |
