Default Amazing iridescent cloud

This was spotted yesterday, near Brive, about 35 miles to my South West.

My guess is that it's not iridescence but a fragment of the
circumhorizontal arc. The cloud is ice crystals , probably formed from a
old contrail, and the colour distribution with red uppermost tells me it
would be the circumhorizontal arc rather than the circumzenithal arc.

See this site for more on these phenomena.
