Medium cloud thickened quickly Monday late afternoon to give a few spots of rain around 1630z. Medium layers persisted into the evening, becoming thinner before dusk. Extensive stratocumulus at first light on Tuesday, this developing breaks after 0600z, with thin altocumulus and cirrus visible above. Local convection started around 0645z, with almost half cover of low-based cumulus drifting from west to east (perhaps it was once stratus and isnow convecting?). Visibility generally good, but it was very good for a time Monday evening immediately after the rain. Surface winds have been calm or light, and very variable in direction - southeasterly late on Monday afternoon, but more northeasterly during the evening. Minimum temperature overnight was 13.6 (0406z).
