Just when I thought it was on, for some unknown reason the temp fell back this afternoon from 37.2c, before returning to 36.5c and hovering there until evening.
Very frustrating, but a small chance it can be reached tomorrow. Temps seemed a bit lower today generally, but with 4 departments facing the prospect of 45/46c tomorrow, new records are on, maybe Carpentras Colin? DM. 740m. La Moratille. Correze. France. |

Well, Carpentras was the hottest of the SYNOP sites today: 41.3°C. Photo of its thermometer hut on the infoclimat website shows that it is in a bit of a scruffy state https://www.infoclimat.fr/observatio...ras/07586.html.
