Default Another temperature record today? Perhaps.

Yesterday the midday temperature in Tideswell was 12.6°. Today it is
15.5°. Our February record of 16.6°, set only yesterday, is looking
vulnerable.

Same here but not as warm Norman.
Yesterday was a record of 15.1c already up to 16.5c by 13.00 today.
Noticed Leek only fell to 8.9c last night and already over 17c!!!
Mean here now stands at 6.1c (2nd warmest so far) behind 1998 (6.5c), but
that may go at this rate!

Don't want to put a downer on things but April 1998 had more snow depth than
Nov/Dec97 and Jan/Feb/Mar98 all put together, just hope history doesn't
repeat itself

The maximum temperature in Meir Heath, Stoke-On-Trent so far is 16.3 C which is the highest for February. Yesterday it was 16.1 C. The weather is very warm for February, I do not think that there has been so many warm days before. I think it may reach 18 C here today but the current temperature is 16.2 C.

The mean temp in Tideswell for the month so far (up till 24th) is 5.0°
so it looks like we'll have the warmest Feb in my 11-year record. The
current warmest is 4.7° in 2011.

Back to normal next week. The snow shovels are still at the back door
:-)

Well ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce a winter UK record of 21C this afternoon in my back garden Bristol BS9.

My MO certified whirling hygrometer detected 21C in the deepest shade. It's a record I will stand by- my wrist is numb with whirling.

Surely someone somewhere is going to exceed this figure?
