RMK: Occasional slight rain since midnight.

0900z 28003kt 10km -RA 1St004 8Sc025 +01.9/+01.5 991
RMK: Slight rain turned to mod/hvy sleet just before
0800z. That continued till 0845z when it reverted
to slight rain. The Cat & Fiddle webcam, looking
NNW across Manchester, is showing some distant blue
sky so probably something rather more pleasant to
come later this morning.
09-09z: Tx 7.0 (1510z) Tn +1.6 (0845z) RR 4.8
15-09z: Tg 0.0 00-24z: Sun 0.6

I don't know when you looked at the Cat & Fiddle webcam but there's
certainly no blue sky showing on there now, just fog.
Some blue sky low in the north west here though so as you say, something
rather more pleasant conditions on the way.

RMK: Rain ceased soon after 0900z. Mostly, the
remainder of the day saw broken cloud and occasional
sunny intervals. For a time in the middle of the day
we were affected by a shower stream originating over
Morecambe Bay. This produced a few slight showers of
rain and hail but they didn't amount to very much.
Max temp 5.3°.
