NNW across Manchester, is showing some distant blue

come later this morning.

I don't know when you looked at the Cat & Fiddle webcam but there's
certainly no blue sky showing on there now, just fog.
Some blue sky low in the north west here though so as you say, something
rather more pleasant conditions on the way.

RMK: Rain ceased soon after 0900z. Mostly, the
remainder of the day saw broken cloud and occasional
sunny intervals. For a time in the middle of the day
we were affected by a shower stream originating over
Morecambe Bay. This produced a few slight showers of
rain and hail but they didn't amount to very much.
Max temp 5.3.
