The previous warmest December was 6.6c in 1974 Today after a chilly start (4.2c), the fog as now cleared to clear blue sky and sunshine ![]() Current temp 8.6c Graham (Weston Coyney) |

Impossible to be certain, but it wouldn't surprise me if the month as a whole turns out to be colder than average. The cold spell that'll set in this weekend looks very likely to persist right through to the end of the month and beyond. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

The daily maximums have been rather consistent in temperature (1st - 15th): lowest max = 13.2C (4th); highest maximum = 14.7C (5th). I thought October would be a warm one at this stage but that month ended up colder than average (though only just). I have a feeling this month may go the same way, mainly due to cold nights rather than the days. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |
