Fire source are red, indicated by white pointers. Is it really the worst ever wild fires in Cal in terms of deaths , over all time? . Including back when there was no car ownership to flee , or is it people fleeing in cars and then getting trapped in them, that causes the high death rate? So some died in their own cars according to the news. I wonder if the Anglo-rejigged PBS channel will reshow it,perhaps updated, a USA doc i saw perhaps about 20 years ago. Insurance companies demanded swimming pool per house for spraying water on the house and then as a last resort for human survival. The other stuff concerning fire-break generating / controlled burn details I forget now. |
