Another pleasantly warm October day with a maximum of 21.7C and pretty
much unbroken sunshine all day. Looking at the forecast, there could be some unusually warm nights over the next few days. My highest October minimum was 16.9C on the 3rd in 2013. Overnight Friday and into Saturday morning looks like a contender. Maybe a minimum of 17C to 18C? Temperature holding up this evening at 17C but no record on the cards methinks as the sky is clear. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |

It was also the joint warmest night of the year with the 4th August. Yesterday was the windiest day this year with 373 wind miles and recorded the highest gust of the year with 52 mph. Today's wind miles are already up to 240 miles, so today may beat yesterday. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |
