misty during the past hour as a light SE breeze set in.
Still sunny, though. The Cat & Fiddle webcam (9.5 miles
west of here and 200m higher up) is still showing
excellent visibility but perhaps not for much longer.
It looks NNW across Manchester towards Bolton.

RMK: A very warm and mostly sunny day. For much of the
day the visibility was greatly reduced, firstly by mist
then by haze but this has cleared away in the past hour
or so. Interestingly, shaded hard surfaces have
remained damp all day. I assume that this is a
result of the combination of relatively high dew points
and shaded surfaces remaining cold after the relatively
low temperatures last night. Max temp 21.0° which
makes it the hottest October day here since 2012.
