Default Swanston, Edinburgh September 2020

Mean max 15.4C, mean min 9.2C, overall month mean 12.3C
Rain 52.4 mm, wettest day 11.2 mm on 18th
Sun 145.25 hrs, sunniest day 11.83 hours on 4th

A rather cool and dry month with sunshine total close to normal
Coolest September in short record here (2014)

A warm start but cooler by 3rd-and that's how it remained

Dominated by irritating, gusty, westerlies with 60 mph on 19th
4 days with gusts 50 mph and 11 days with gusts 40mph

11.8C max on 3rd in contrast to 21.8C max on 2nd. That's what happens
with the North Sea nearby and the wind direction switches from SW to NE
