A mostly sunny and warm day with a maximum of 22.5C.
This makes it the warmest October day since 2011 with 25.6C on the 3rd. Dew points were around 17C for most of the afternoon making the gentle sea breeze feel soft and warm. With the first hints of autumnal colour starting to appear and the deep blue sky, it made for a beautiful, colour contrasting day. Sea breezes in October are not common and we've had quite a few lately. A mild, calm evening - feeling more like summer than autumn. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |

A maximum of 20.7C after a minimum of 13.1C and 6.2 hours of quite hazy sunshine. Last of the +20C until Monday methinks, then we could get 4 on the trot! These warm October days were missed so much when I lived in Birmingham for a few years, where it always felt cool and damp at this time of year and the autumn chill became quite noticeable. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |

With little wind it certainly felt fairly warm. 18.2C up at Bosullow. Graham Penzancd |
