Sunday morning's heavy rain and drizzle became mainly moderate by 0945z, easing off to slight by 1100z, and then continuing till 1400z before becoming intermittent. Some dry spells during the evening and overnight, but there were a couple of batches of showers 2230z to midnight, and 0300z to 0515z. Relatively light winds at first on Sunday, increased to F3-F4 once the heavier rain died out, and decreased to light again by evening. Direction was south to southwesterly. A cloudy 24 hours. The ground dried out rapidly after the two inches of rain on Saturday night. The Rhondda river rose by about 4 feet by lunchtime on Sunday. Currently cloudy with a light southerly breeze. Some upslope stratus to the south, with convective cloud moving fairly quickly from southwest to northeast, with a layer of altocumulus above. Very good visibility. Overnight minimum temperature was 14.3 (0033z).
