Tuesday evening was cloudy at first, but there was a rapid clearance around sunset. The cloud was back before midnight, accompanied by some light rain showers in the early hours of Wednesday. It remained cloudy for the rest of Tuesday night with further showers Wednesday morning. The cloud broke Wednesday lunchtime to leave a sunny afternoon and evening, followed by a clear night. Large amounts of high cloud present at dawn on Thursday morning, which has cleared from the south west over the past hour. Local convection has just started - relatively high based clouds showing that the low-level air is quite dry. Excellent visibility over the past two days, and mainly light and variable winds.

Convective clouds exceeded half cover for a time around lunchtime, but amounts have steadily decreased since. Variable amounts of very thin cirrus above. Visibility not as crystal clear as this morning, but nevertheless still very good. Light westerly breeze. Maximum temperature so far today is 25..4 (1359z).
