[OBS] Ystrad, Rhondda - Tue 3 Jul 2018
0600z: 05007KT 50km 1AC150 16.7/8.4 QFF 1017.0 falling.
SYNOP: 12984 10507 10167 20084 40170 57005 60002 81040 333 81365= A fine and sunny late afternoon and evening on Monday, followed by a clear night. Excellent visibility throughout (apart from some obscuration by smoke coming from a heath fire late afternoon and early evening). Surface winds generally ENE-NE, F4 at times at first, but generally F2-3. Generally little or no cloud apart from cirrus. Currently there is some thin altocumulus to the south-east, with some lenticular form to it. SYNOP: 42984 20615 10208 20094 40169 56001 82030 333 82365= Patchy altocumulus in the southeastern quadrant of the sky is currently providing some shade, otherwise it has been a sunny morning. Fresher than recent mornings, the maximum relative humidity overnight was 64%. Currently quite breezy too, with a solid F4 northeasterly breeze making doors slam in the house! SYNOP: 42984 10407 10268 20113 40152 57008 81080 333 81360= A fine, hot and sunny day, albeit a little cooler than yesterday. Patchy altocumulus throughout the day, although only small amounts and covering less than a quarter of the sky. Currently the altocumulus is unstable-looking to the south. Excellent visibility. Surface wind has moderated this afternoon, and is now a F3 northeasterly breeze.
