After just a little rain earlier, the sun came out around 11:00 and the temperature shot up, by almost 10C in places. In Penzance it is now the warmest day of 2018 at 25.7C.
It's inland & where the wind's offshore where the temperature rise was most spectacular. e.g http://www.greatbosullow.net/ where it rose almost 10C between 11:00 & 13:00. (17.5C to 27C) under unbroken sunshine & little wind. Similar at Lands End where it shot up to 26.1C @ 13:49. A contrast to yesterday, when the sea breeze kept it relatively fresh feeling.
