Yesterday saw a very flat temperature profile in Penzance, due to a good F4 easterly wind. It was 20C for 12 hours, but the peak was 22.8C, due to the strength of easterly wind.
The forecasters kept saying there would be more of a sea breeze. I may be being pedantic, but it was not a sea breeze, it was a moderate to fresh east wind. In fact, because of the strength of the wind actual sea breezes were largely absent yesterday, the wind staying offshore on the north coast, where the wind was also a F4 or so easterly (F5 at times near Lands End). Much lighter winds this morning, and aligned with the peninsula. Graham Penzance |
