Radar and lightning plots showing separate systems apparently moving
from the east and SSE towards us. Sounds like Southampton Airport has already closed flight operations. WRF has a neat line of vorticity - & + over Southampton towards Start Point late afternoon. WRF 06Z hi-res run had the peak for all England at about 40mm/hr over us early evening. Yesterday the same vorticity line went from the north extremity of London to Anglesey contributing to the Birmingham /Northampton flooding. |
