When we moved here in April 2016, we were warned not to plant anything out until after 15 May, advice we have been careful to follow. Last year we had 4 consecutive frosts from 26 to 29 April, ranging from -1.6 to -4c and with blossom out, it resulted in no strawberries, plums, apples etc etc.
Last night we had -3c, after a prediction of +1c, so now it's cross fingers time and hope that the damage will not be too severe, 2 consecutive years with no soft fruit will be too much. DM. 740m. La Moratille. Correze. France. |

DM. 740m. La Moratille. Correze. France. Last year was a killer in the Correze. We ALL lost our fruit - I've been here since February 2007, and last year was the first with total decimation. Now, we have cherries forming, but not very many... |
